NextPhase Medical Devices LLC is a fast-growing, engineering design and contract manufacturer of single-use and electromechanical medical devices, with facilities in Rochester, NH, Mansfield, MA, and Tijuana, Mexico.
Based in our Mansfield, MA facility, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing the organization, management, and accuracy of our inventory. The primary goal is to maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. The inventory specialist is responsible for accurate and timely completion of daily, weekly, and annual cycle-counts.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Execute daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly, while adhering to applicable material handling requirements, such as clean room controls and electro-static discharge (ESD) requirements..
- Maintain precise inventory records and conduct regular audits to verify stock levels.
- Coordinate the movement of materials between storage areas and production and service lines, ensuring timely availability. Monitor replenishment locations to ensure allocated material is available to support production flow. Document material movements on manufacturing documentation and the ERP system.
- Schedule material movement to and from various warehouse locations, including third-party logistics companies.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify obsolete material, expired material or otherwise invalid material in the warehouse.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and cycle counting procedures.
- Ship finished goods, spare parts and components to customers in accordance with customer specific requirements or as directed by Customer Service.
- Generate reports on inventory discrepancies, cycle count results, and material movements for management review.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service to meet inventory goals.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role, preferably in the medical device manufacturing industry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Requires a motivated individual that is able to work with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in operations, warehouse management, logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management and cycle counting
- Forklift certification is a plus. Proficient English language reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing skills required
- Experience in FDA and ISO-13485 design and/or manufacturing environment beneficial

- Physical ability to navigate pallet jacks, stand-up rider lifts, and forklifts
